WHITTIER ALASKA FISHING CHARTERS

    Whittier, Alaska Fishing Charters is located 1 hour south of Anchorage, Alaska in the town of Whittier, Alaska. Halibut fishing, Lingcod fishing, and Salmon Shark fishing are our specialties. We have been fishing from the Whittier, Alaska area for 10 years. Halibut fishing is outstanding with many halibut caught every year that are over over 200 pounds. Whittier, Alaska is the gateway to Prince William Sound and the Gulf of Alaska.
    Our Charter Boat is The OFFSHORE HUNTER, it is a 34ft Armstrong Catamaran with a full walk around deck. The Offshore Hunter is a stable comfortable Halibut fishing platform. She has a cruise speed of 28 kts. This allows us to reach the best Halibut fishing areas throughout Prince William Sound and the Gulf of Alaska much faster than most other boats, this means more time for you to catch that Halibut, that you have been dreaming of.     
    ROCKFISH fishing is outstanding. World record class Yelloweye are caught on a regular basis. There are many species of rock fish available in Prince William Sound and they are wonderful eating. 
    LINGCOD are available after July 1. The fishing is very good, with many fish in the 50 pound class. Lings are very good eating and fun to catch. 

   SALMON SHARK FISHING. We offer Salmon Shark Charters the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August. Salmon Shark trips are limited to groups of (6) persons. These trips are productive and very exciting.  "Big Game Fishing at it's best." We encourage catch and release of all but 1 shark. 

    The town of  Whittier, Alaska is growing and  has several very good restaurants. There is very good Lodging available should you wish to stay in Whittier. There is a very good fish processing facility available to vacuum pack your catch and ship it home for you if that is your desire. Please join us in 2009 or future years.
